What's in a Name?
I've been racking my brain to come up with a name for the new company I'm starting. I was going to call it Velocity Path, but the name sounds to dumb. Plus, I've been reading that you're better off if you name your company with a name that starts with either the letter "A", "B" or "C". Anyone have a suggestion?
Slow Going
On Monday and Tuesday of this week I made a lot of progress in getting things rolling. Yesterday and today seem to be painfully slow. By making accommodations for potential merchandising customers with CafePress's servers having problems once again, and an even bigger problem of having Interland (the web host for the Apartment Site wipe out 4 years of email stored on their servers, I'm burning a lot of time. I can't wait to actually get working on bringing in revenue from the Apartment Site and the other apartment sites, but unfortunately these problems, and a multitude of others are causing delay. Any recommendation for a good Windows platform web host?

The Beginning of a Busy First Week
Yesterday was my first official day of working on my own. There's a lot to be done, and not much time to do it. I'm looking at the following to do list:
- I need to meet with a lawyer and an accountant to get everything setup right.
- I'll also need to get a couple technical issues taken care of on the apartment site.
- Put together some new marketing material to send to potential advertisers.
- And since the holiday season will soon be here I need to get some holiday merchandise designed for Texas-TShirts.com and Hurricane-TShirts.com.
- I'm also looking to put together some sales literature for the Texas stuff to be sold wholesale to retailers.
And this is my short term list of things to do. Plus I still have a ton of other little items, like sending out my Virginia 2002 and 2003 tax returns to collect a couple hundred dollars in refunds. At least yesterday I completed the wheeltechnology website redesign, so now I have a little more money to pay for all of my start up costs.
